For sale: 2006 Mercury Optimax, 115hp
Less than 200 hours!
2nd owner (private sale, not a dealer), obsessively maintained:
Every fall
- fuel stabilizer run through on the last tank of the season
- Lower unit oil changed (always used Quicksilver High Performance Gear Oil)
- Plugs pulled and 30 mL oil poured into each cylinder (as per Merc factory manual)
- Drained fuel filter reservoir
Every spring
- New spark plugs installed
- New fuel filter installed
- New water pump impeller installed (regardless if needed or not)
- New water pump gasket kit, including bottom plate installed

* Motor has only been run with Quicksilver Performance DFI oil
* Motor has only been run in lakes and rivers ? never seen salt water
This motor is still installed on my 18.5 foot boat. I am only selling because I got a smoking deal on a 150 Optimax and I am upgrading!
My new motor is in transit, so until then, for serious buyers, I am willing to take them for a test drive to see the motor in action. For out of town buyers, I will send a You-tube video link of a test drive.
Priced to sell quickly: Once my new motor comes and is installed, I won?t have a place to store the 115 Opti ? therefore, this is a low sales price (compare at $6000 to $7000).
